＊89-years-oldとならないのは、名詞を修飾する形容詞句では複数形を用いないというルールがあるためだ。

(ex) a five-star hotel：5つ星のホテル / a two-week vacation：2週間の休暇

(ex) My grandma is 89 years old.：私のおばあちゃんは89歳だ。 (yearsは名詞ではなく形容詞のoldを修飾している。)

＊latelyはrecentlyでもよいが、these daysは不可。現在完了は過去から現在までの期間を示す時制だが、these daysは近い未来も含む。

・hot…arousing intense interest or excitement：世間を沸かせる

＊このI’m jealousには「嫉妬深い」といった相手に対するネガティブな感情はなく「私もそうなれたらいいなあ」というポジティブな感情を伝えている。I’m envious.やI envy you.でも意味は通じるが、I’m jealous.が最も自然な表現。
